About iflix
iflix is a subscribtion VOD platform created in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia. It is currently available in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Brunei. The company was founded by Patrick Grove, Mark Britt, and Evolution Media Capital. They are all focused on the media, sports, and entertainment industries. The company launched the service in the Philippines in May 2015 and from then on it’s the leading service of that type there.
iflix works with a variety of studios and telecommunications companies regionally as well as worldwide. For commercial distribution, PLDT Group is the main partner, whereas the international partnerships are signed with The Walt Disney Company, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, Fox, and Starz. In the Philippines, two companies became the telecommunications providers: Smart Communications and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company. Thanks to these companies, iflix will provide the service to over 70 million Smart and PLDT customers with no additional costs!
iflix works with the best local celebrities! In November 2015, the company signed an agreement with Iza Calzado, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Ruffa Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, and Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon. They became partnes of the service, as well as shareholders of the company and partners in the business. What’s more, the celebs joined iflix as investors and advisers in the curation of new content for online viewers. The programs are chosen by the most famous people in the country just for you! Whoa!
