Enterprise Car Rental Cancellation and Change Policy

• If a vehicle has already been picked up, to keep it longer, contact the location from where the vehicle was picked up is required.

To modify or cancel a reservation if the vehicle has not been picked up:

• Navigate to a specified web page and ensure all fields are filled out including confirmation number, first name, and last name. Failure to do so will result in the reservation not being found.
• If there is trouble modifying the reservation after entering all the correct information, contacting the provided number is advised.
• Changes to pick-up or drop-off location, date or time, may affect rates, taxes, surcharges, or underage fees.

Cancellation Fees

• North American website & app:
  
  • No cancellation fee if the reservation was not prepaid.
  • For prepaid reservations:
    1. A full refund minus a USD $50 / CAD $65 cancellation fee for cancellations more than 24 hours before pick-up time.
    2. A full refund minus a USD $100 / CAD $135 cancellation fee for cancellations less than 24 hours before pick-up time.
• European website & app:
  • No cancellation fee for non-prepaid reservations.
  • For prepaid reservations:
    1. No cancellation fee if the cancellation occurs 7 days before the pick-up time.
    2. A refund minus a small cancellation fee if the cancellation occurs less than 7 days but at least 24 hours before the pick-up time; to find the exact fee, a call to the specified number is required.
    3. No refund if the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the pick-up time.

If the prepaid rental is not picked up on the specified date, a full refund minus a no show fee of USD $100 / CAD $135 is provided.

Rate Changes

• Rates may change if the reservation dates or duration are modified, as rental rates can fluctuate daily.

Reservations made on third party websites must be canceled through those specific websites, and cannot be changed or canceled on the Enterprise website.

• Active-duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements.
• Limited to no additional drivers other than the renter’s spouse or domestic partner.
• Debit card funds will be held for the rental and a deposit of $200-$850, depending on rental location and vehicle class.


• Gift Cards: Pre-paid gift cards with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express® logo are accepted only at the end of a rental.


• Cash: Some branches may accept cash or a money order as a form of final payment once the rental vehicle has been returned. This is subject to the discretion of the rental location.

Note: Specific conditions for debit card use may include requirements such as providing a utility bill, phone bill, paycheck, or an original declaration page from an active auto insurance policy. Personal references may also be requested. These documents must match the current home address and be dated within 30 days of rental.

Forms of payment not accepted:

• Online-only, virtual credit cards or any other type of "single-use" card number security product or one-time use credit card number.

To ensure the availability of funds and to cover potential additional charges, deposits between $200 and $850 are required at the time of rental, depending on the rental location and class of vehicle rented. The deposit amount will be held and returned upon concluding the rental and closing the contract, which may take up to 20 business days due to bank processing times.
